Our Story

Crafted with Purpose, Made with Heart

We believe the most beautiful things are made slowly, by hand, with materials the earth provides.

How It Began

Earthy Craft Goods was born from a simple observation: the world's most beautiful, functional everyday objects were being made by hand in workshops and homes across South Asia — yet most of the world had never seen them.

From the intricate Shotoronji mats woven by artisans in Bangladesh to seagrass baskets shaped in coastal communities, these crafts represent centuries of knowledge, patience, and skill. We set out to share them with the world — and to make sure the people behind them earn a fair living doing what they love.

Our Mission

We exist at the intersection of craft, sustainability, and fair trade. Every product in our collection has been chosen because it is made from natural, sustainably sourced materials; because it was created by hand by a skilled artisan; and because it contributes to a livelihood that the artisan is proud of.

We're not just selling products — we're building a bridge between traditional craft communities and modern, conscious consumers who care about where their things come from.

The Materials We Love

Jute

Often called the “golden fiber,” jute is one of the world's most eco-friendly crops — fast-growing, carbon-absorbing, and fully biodegradable. Bangladesh is among the world's top jute producers, making it a natural cornerstone of our collection.

Shotoronji Cotton

The Shotoronji is a centuries-old weaving tradition from Bangladesh. Artisans use natural cotton threads on traditional looms to create bold geometric patterns with cultural significance that spans generations.

Seagrass

Harvested sustainably from coastal wetlands, seagrass is naturally water-resistant, durable, and beautifully textured. It requires no pesticides or fertilizers to grow.

Bamboo

The fastest-growing plant on earth, bamboo sequesters carbon and regrows from its own root system without replanting. It produces a material harder than most hardwoods yet incredibly lightweight.
